OUR APPROACH-TO DEVELOPMENT
HOW IT WORKS
The foundation of all learning comes from grammar; it is the building block of all types of written and verbal expression. Students in this stage are proficient at memorization and ordering details. All these skills are leveraged to help students acquire other necessary tools for learning and memorizing truth.
01.The Grammar Stage
Children from kindergarten are able to absorb large amounts of information during these formative years. Through imitative practice, children will learn that language is essential to the accurate interpretation of texts and the ability to write, hear, and speak.
What is truth? In this stage of development, students are encouraged to think Logically. As its name implies, the Logic stage helps students to make sense of their world. They will be challenged to reason and argue their position from a biblical worldview.
02.The Logic Stage
In the junior high years, connections and interrelations are emphasized. Here, the questions of “why” and “how” are further examined. The study of formal logic (fallacies and syllogisms) comes here, and the arts of conversation, inquiry, and debate begin to emerge.
At this phase, we focus on training the students to use written and spoken language to communicate their thinking clearly and persuasively. Students will be trained in formulating thoughts into words. This phase seeks to harness the tools and knowledge students have gained in the previous stages to convey their ideas.
03.The Rhetoric Stage
High school students are naturally interested in presenting themselves well, so why not take advantage of this stage by teaching them how to express ideas most effectively: through beautiful, respectful, creative, and persuasive speech and writing.
